The role coordinates clinical studies, supports participant recruitment and study visits, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates with investigators to translate discoveries into improved patient care.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, with a Bachelor's degree and clinical research experience; SOCRA/ACRP certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with two years experience in clinical research, or equivalent.
• SOCRA or ACRP Certification preferred.
• Must complete CITI certification for Human Subject Research.
• WakeOne training for research coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Assists in recruitment of patients to studies.
• Performs protocol-specific duties as required by the research protocol.
• Assists in obtaining informed consent and reinforces information to subjects and families.
• Fulfills sponsor requirements including adverse events and unanticipated problems.
• Abstracts data from medical records and completes case report forms.
• Identifies protocol/data management issues and communicates with supervisor.
• Provides staff relief and participates in meetings and quality improvement.
• May mentor new staff.
• Maintains confidentiality and compliance with policies.
