Job summary

MedStar Washington Hospital Center is actively recruiting for a Clinical Research Coordinator II to join the Firefighters' Burn and Surgical Research Laboratory. The role requires flexibility to work early or late as dictated by surgical schedules and to participate in on-call shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or allied health or related professional degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical research experience; healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical trials from start-up through close-out, ensuring protocol and sponsor compliance.
• Lead recruitment and informed consent; coordinate visits and assessments; ensure participant safety.
• Coordinate IRB submissions and regulatory documentation.
• Enter study data into CTMS; resolve data queries with sponsors/CROs.
• Oversee lab testing, biospecimen handling, and investigational product accountability.
• Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, CROs, and healthcare professionals throughout monitoring and close-out visits.
