MedStar Washington Hospital Center's Firefighters’ Burn and Surgical Research Laboratory is actively recruiting for a Clinical Research Coordinator II to join their team. Candidates must be flexible to work early/late as surgical schedules require, including on-call shifts nights and weekends.

Implements and coordinates research and administrative procedures for managing clinical trials. Enters study data into the CTMS and maintains regulatory documentation to support study progress and sponsor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or allied health or related professional degree required.
• 2 years of relevant clinical research experience required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Undergraduate and/or work experiences that demonstrates aptitude for research facilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical trials: Manage day-to-day study activities from start-up through close-out, ensuring compliance with protocols, sponsor requirements, and institutional policies.
• Support research participants: Lead recruitment and informed consent, coordinate study visits and assessments, answer participant questions, and promote participant safety throughout the study.
• Manage regulatory requirements: Coordinate IRB submissions, study documentation, delegation of responsibilities, adverse event reporting, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain study data: Complete accurate clinical documentation and case report forms, enter data into the CTMS within required timelines, and resolve data queries with sponsors/CROs.
• Coordinate study procedures and supplies: Oversee laboratory testing, biospecimen handling, investigational product accountability, equipment requirements, and other protocol-specific activities.
• Collaborate across teams: Serve as a liaison among participants, investigators, sponsors, CROs, and healthcare professionals while supporting study monitoring, initiation, and close-out visits.

About the Job

The Firefighters’ Burn and Surgical Research Laboratory at MedStar Washington Hospital Center is actively recruiting for a Clinical Research Coordinator II to join their team. Candidates for this position need to have flexibility to work early/late if needed due to surgical schedule. Employees will be responsible for contributing to a pool of on-call shifts including nights and weekends as well.

Implements and coordinates research and administrative procedures for the successful management of clinical trials. Performs diverse administrative duties requiring analysis sound judgment and a high level of knowledge of study specific protocols. Enters study and/or research participant data into the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) as applicable.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimal Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree or an allied health or related professional degree required, orequivalent work experience.

Experience

• 2 years of relevant clinical research experience required
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Undergraduate and/or work experiences that demonstrates aptitude for research facilitation preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $59,820.00 - USD $101,836.00 /Yr.
