Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital’s Neurofibromatosis Clinical Research Program seeks a Clinical Research Assistant II to oversee regulatory activities for trials, screen and enroll participants, and coordinate study logistics. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and external collaborators to ensure trials run on schedule and data are accurately managed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Psychology is required.
• Prior experience as a Clinical Research Assistant or Clinical Research Coordinator strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with IRB processes preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with REDCap preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work comfortably with patients, families, and a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Manage regulatory activities for new and ongoing clinical trials, including IRB submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, adverse event/deviation reporting, and maintenance of regulatory binders and study files.
• Identify, screen, consent, and enroll eligible participants in accordance with study protocols.
• Coordinate study visits and required assessments across clinical services to keep timelines and protocol milestones on track.
• Serve as a central liaison among multidisciplinary clinical teams, study sponsors, and external collaborators, while supporting study start-up, monitoring visits, and audits.
• Collect, enter, and manage study data in REDCap and other databases.
• Perform data quality checks and track enrollment and regulatory deadlines.
• Contribute to mentored research projects such as abstracts, posters, or manuscripts.
