Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks a Research Associate to support the implementation and coordination of NIH-funded clinical trials and related studies. You will assist in day-to-day research operations, participant recruitment, data collection and analysis, and regulatory documentation under supervision.

The role emphasizes integrating research into patient-care workflows, maintaining timelines, and collaborating with clinical teams, schools, and sponsors while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required; Master of Science degree preferred.
• Four to six years of experience using office, statistical, and bioinformatics or data-mining software preferred.
• Experience in clinical and community-based research preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric participants is highly desirable.
• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and CITI training required, as applicable to study responsibilities.
• Native or fluent Spanish-English bilingual proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily research operations, including scheduling, site logistics, participant visits, timelines and admin activities.
• Recruit, screen, enroll, consent, and follow study participants per protocols.
• Collect, manage, validate, maintain, and analyze research data for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and maintain study protocols, IRB submissions, regulatory docs, and study files.
• Monitor study progress, recruitment, retention, data quality, and reporting deadlines.
• Coordinate research activities with clinical departments, schools, sponsors, and partners.
• Assist with literature reviews, statistical analyses, manuscripts, and grant materials.
• Communicate with investigators, staff, participants, families, and partners to resolve issues.
