Job summary

Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant 2 to support non-therapeutic studies within the Clinical Trials Department. The role involves active coordination with investigators, research nurses, and sponsors to execute trial requirements on schedule.

Under supervision and with increasing experience, you will develop competencies in protocol management, data collection, regulatory duties, and study startup activities in a pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health care related field.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical research or health care experience.
• Completion of CITI training within first 3 months of employment.
• ACRP or SOCRA certification within 3 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure study protocol compliance and document each participant visit thoroughly.
• Participate in recruitment and screening based on protocol criteria.
• Assist with informed consent/assent ensuring understanding of risks and benefits.
• Provide timely communication to ancillary departments and study Sponsors.
• Complete data collection and respond to data queries per protocol.
• Maintain regulatory and study records and assist with regulatory submissions.
