Job summary

Genesis Healthcare is seeking a qualified MDS Coordinator - RN to oversee timely and accurate completion of the MDS assessment tool and care planning within our Huntington, WV nursing facility.

You will coordinate cross-disciplinary inputs from nursing, dietary, social services, and physicians to ensure compliant, high-quality care and appropriate Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement. RN licensure and long-term care experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• LPNs with MDS experience may be considered.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall process and tracking of all Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement for services provided within the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to assure achievement of maximum allowable RUG categories.
• Integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
