The role focuses on liaising with Sanitas Medical Centers and external providers, delivering high-quality patient service, and ensuring adherence to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ability to navigate Availity portal.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS/ICD coding preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems and HIPAA compliance required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with patients and staff.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process patient referrals for specialty services.
• Verify and update registration, demographic and insurance data.
• Act as liaison between Sanitas Medical Centers and external providers with strong customer service.
• Perform eligibility checks by phone or electronically as needed.
• Process authorizations for referral services and coordinate appointments.
• Set up appointments and transportation; communicate scheduling requirements to patients.
