Job summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to perform a one-time, non-treatment Veterans Disability Exam in Crescent City, CA. This part-time role offers a pay rate of $60.45/hr, with in-person work on the 1st and 3rd Mondays and telehealth on other days. Requirements include an active psychology or psychiatry license in at least one U.S.

state, a PhD or PsyD in Psychology, and a valid BLS certificate. Proficiency with EMR and MS Office is expected, with preferred VA/C&P experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
• PhD or PsyD in Psychology with a focus on adult populations (Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology).
• PhD/PsyD from an APA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Review mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment VEA exams for Veterans.
• Capture responses during the exam via web-based forms; submit electronically to VA for disability determinations.
• Assess common issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.

We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam inCrescent City, CA.

• Employment Status: Part-Time
• Compensation: $60.45/hr

Requirements: The Clinical Psychologist must have and meet the following:

• Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
• Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or must have completed a 2-year residency with either specialty
• Psychologists must obtain a PhD or PsyD with a Major in Psychology; Specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or a combination of these). Child-focused psychology programs are not acceptable.
• Psychologists must have graduated from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-accredited program.
• Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care.
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms.
  • Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making.
  • Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in clinical settings
    • Prior VA or C&P experience

Job Summary:

• Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
• The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
