Job summary

Matrix Providers is hiring a Clinical Psychologist to perform a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Augusta, GA. This full-time hourly position offers a bi-weekly pay schedule, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, holidays, and 401(k).

The candidate must be licensed in at least one US state, hold a PhD or PsyD in Psychology, and have active BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a psychology PhD or PsyD and be licensed in at least one US state.
• Board-certified psychiatrists are not required for this role; psychologists with APA-accredited program are welcome.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and MS Office applications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams.
• Review mental health history and document findings electronically.
• Submit completed exams to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability determinations.
• Address common issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.

We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Augusta, GA

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: This is a hourly position, paid bi-weekly. $50.00-$55.62
• Schedule: Full Time Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

Requirements: The Clinical Psychologist must have and meet the following:

• Requirement Qualifications:
  • Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
  • Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or must have completed a 2-year residency with either specialty.
  • Psychologists must obtain a PhD or PsyD with a Major in Psychology; Specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or a combination of these). Child-focused psychology programs are not acceptable.
  • Psychologists must have graduated from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-accredited program.
• Certification:
  • Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care.
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms.
  • Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making.
  • Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in clinical settings.
    • Prior VA or C&P experience.

Job Summary:

• Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
• The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
