Job summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Spokane Valley, WA. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00am–5:00pm, with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate will hold a state psychology license, a PhD or PsyD with adult-focused emphasis, and a current BLS certification. Prior VA/C&P experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a psychology license in at least one US state.
• PhD or PsyD in Psychology with adult-focused emphasis.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficient with EMR systems and MS Office.
• Prior clinical/VA or C&P experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a one-time, non-treatment Veteran disability exam.
• Document responses using web-based examination forms and submit to VA.
• Address PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders in assessments.

We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Spokane Valley, WA.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: $63.63/hr.
• Schedule: Full Time, Monday- Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Requirements:

• Requirement Qualifications:
  • Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
  • Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or must have completed a 2-year residency with either specialty
  • Psychologists must obtain a PhD or PsyD with a Major in Psychology; Specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or a combination of these). Child-focused psychology programs are not acceptable.
  • Psychologists must have graduated from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-accredited program.
• Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care.
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms.
  • Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making.
  • Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in clinical settings
    • Prior VA or C&P experience

Job Summary:

• Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
• The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
