Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Clinical Practice Leader (CPL) to provide clinical leadership for a nursing unit. The CPL partners with Nurse Managers to ensure expert bedside care, leads nursing practice, mentors staff, and drives evidence-based care to achieve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include directing patient care, advancing practice standards, designing strategies with nursing leadership, and guiding system-wide quality initiatives while fostering a supportive, ethical work

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required).
• Registered Nurse – PA (Required).
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience in the relevant patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality, coordinated nursing care for patients.
• Collaborate with nurses, interprofessional care team, patients and families.
• Coach, mentor, and guide nursing staff to improve practice at the bedside.
• Lead nursing practice changes and evaluate outcomes across units and service lines.

Education

Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)

Master of Arts or Science in Nursing or related discipline (Preferred)

5+ years experience in clinical practice with the patient population cared for in the unit/area
