Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years related work experience.
• MA/EMT/CNA/LNA certificate or 5 months of direct patient care in clinical/research setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check-in, scheduling and medical assisting with courteous service.
• Take and relay patient information; prepare schedules; protect patient confidentiality.
• Perform registration, verify demographics, and ensure productive encounters with proper identification.
• Assist providers, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs and related tests per quality standards.
• Mentor and train staff; oversee others; improve workflows and resource usage.
• Monitor patient flow and act as liaison to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly disposed of contaminated materials.
• Schedule diagnostic and lab tests; handle insurance info, authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications.
• Assemble records per policy and handle patient information requests.
