Job summary

What You Will Do:
  • Provide mission-aligned, comprehensive, strengths-based leadership to assigned clinical team(s) serving youth, adults and families across locations, ensuring delivery of timely, evidence-based care aligned with best practices and organizational goals
  • Collaborate with Practice Managers, Utilization Manager, and other CBHC and BHN leadership to standardize best practices and processes for youth-focused clinical care
  • Ensure children and adolescents served receive timely, appropriate evidence-based care based on presenting need, best clinical practice treatment guidelines for youth, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure staff members complete adequate, documented training relevant to child and adolescent treatment, in collaboration with the Director of Staff Development
  • Ensure evidence-based treatment initiatives for youth are implemented to fidelity within organizational protocol and timelines
  • Participate in the interview process for new clinical employees and conduct on-site orientations, in collaboration with Human Resources and the Director of Staff Development
  • Ensure program compliance with regulatory standards governing behavioral health care for minors and families
  • Provide regularly scheduled individual supervision to clinical supervisees, supporting professional development goals and assessing core competencies related to child and adolescent treatment at entry, 3 months, 6 months, and one year post-hire
  • Monitor supervisee compliance on caseload management, team-based care delivery, documentation quality and timeliness, and use of goal- and outcome-directed treatment for youth
  • As assigned, provide comprehensive behavioral health assessments and level-of-care determinations for children and adolescents, including walk-in/call-in assessments via the urgent/access center
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group treatment for children and adolescents based on BHN-approved evidence-based frameworks, involving family members, guardians, schools, and residential providers as appropriate
  • Provide comprehensive risk/crisis evaluations for youth and take appropriate actions to ensure safety
  • Maintain flexibility in providing services in settings other than clinics, including homes, schools, and via telehealth, to meet the needs of children and families
  • Maintain confidentiality under HIPAA regulations and 42 CFR Part 2
Who You Are:
  • Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in a relevant behavioral health field required
  • Independent license in an eligible behavioral health field required
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory and/or management experience required
  • Experience and/or training working with children, adolescents, and adults with serious emotional disturbance, and willingness to work with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Broad knowledge of child and adolescent mental illness and treatment techniques required
  • Demonstrates cultural competence in working with youth and families from a variety of cultural backgrounds and considers youth/family culture in the work
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of community resources relevant to children and families, and how to help them access these resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with internet, word processing, and email systems
