Job summary

Apploi is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist in Topeka, Kansas to evaluate and treat residents and patients with temporary or long-term physical disabilities, relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing through exercise, heat, ultrasound, massage, and other modalities under physician orders.

The PT will document progress, review referrals and care plans, and administer evidence-based treatments while adhering to state and federal guidelines, ensuring patient safety and ethical care in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with PT experience; advanced degree optional.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and patient conditions with physician to determine PT needs.
• Evaluate and administer prescribed PT treatments to restore function and reduce pain.
• Test muscle strength, ROM, coordination, sensory, functional capacity, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Maintain patient records and document progress in charts.
• Adjust treatments based on patient response to maximize benefit.
• Administer treatments using physical agents and modalities (heat, ultrasound, massage, traction).
• Conduct home assessments to ensure safe discharge environments.
• Complete forms and documents in accordance with policy and regulations.
