Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies.
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate.
• Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester.
• Other duties as assigned

Position Summary

The HealthSciences Division is currently looking to fill part-time(adjunct) faculty positions in the Health Technologies department.The Sinclair Clinical Phlebotomy certificate is intended to provideentry-level competency to students seeking employment in the areaof phlebotomy in health care settings. This certificate is alsointended to provide expanded competencies and proficiencies topracticing health care professionals and students enrolled inhealth science programs.

The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,046 per credit hourassigned to teach. This position may require flexibility inteaching location at Sinclair’s Centerville campus, Courseviewcampus in Mason, or the Hope Center.
