Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Twelve months of phlebotomy experience, phlebotomy training or national certification as approved by manager/supervisor, preferred.
• Ability to work in a professional medical environment and adhere to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing using venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab techniques.
• Adhere to laboratory compliance and safety regulations.
• Communicate procedures and instructions with patients and families with empathy.
• Participate in CODE response teams and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation and quality assurance processes.
