Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; college training preferred.
• 2-3 years' pharmacy-related experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with MA Board of Pharmacy and national CPT or exCPT within 6 months of start date.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; English proficiency essential.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail; basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service, answer phones, greet customers in person.
• Assist with medication preparation: packaging, repacking, compounding, barcoding; double-checks.
• Operate and adapt to Pyxis, robotics, Verify, and other pharmacy tech systems.
• Support inventory control: receiving, stocking, replenishment.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws and accreditation standards.
• Maintain policies and procedures; keep the department organized and compliant.
• Receive and stock product; ensure in-date and correct storage.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering needs to pharmacists.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and projects.
