Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; college training preferred.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with MA Board of Pharmacy.
• National certification (CPT or exCPT) within 6 months of start date.
• 2–3 years of experience; 3+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service, including answers to the telephone and greeting visitors.
• Assist with medication preparation including packaging, repacking, compounding and barcoding.
• Deliver products to patient care areas while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain proficiency with automation, robotics, barcoding, and computer systems used in pharmacy.
• Support inventory control, receiving, stocking, and replenishment.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and hospital policy.
• Keep department and work areas clean, organized and compliant.
• Participate in performance and quality improvement initiatives.
