Job summary

Messino Cancer Centers is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to manage ordering and stocking of medications and supplies in the clinic. Under supervision, you will prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs, coordinating with drug reps to obtain samples, teaching aids, and compassionate drugs.

You will act as a liaison among physicians, nursing, pharmacy, and purchasing for special orders. Responsibilities include maintaining the Nucleus dispensing system, inventory control, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification or registration required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings and training sessions.
• Valid State Driver's License for travel to clinics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs under supervision and in compliance with state regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus medication dispensing system and ensure accurate dispensing and par-level management.
• Order, stock, and track medical supplies and medications with minimal waste.
• Maintain required records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, and related processes.
• Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and nursing staff on chemotherapy preparation and Nucleus workflows.
• Support operations across multiple locations and work overtime when required.
