Job summary

Sterling Health Care in Mount Sterling, KY is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support clinic operations and safe medication dispensing. You will work under the Director of Pharmacy and assist with prescriptions, inventory, and patient questions while upholding patient confidentiality and accuracy.

The role requires knowledge of pharmacy practices, the ability to perform calculations, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical setting, with occasional evening or weekend

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, prescription medications, and related medical technology.
• Ability to read and interpret prescription information accurately.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with policies and law.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assists in dispensing prescriptions by mixing suspensions, counting tablets, or pouring liquids under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Enters patient data and prescription information into the computer system.
• Prepares and prints prescription labels.
• Assists with inventory control of medications and supplies.
• Provides non-drug information to patients and responds to basic inquiries.
• Maintains a tidy and organized work area.
