Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered by Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
• Must complete Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam within 1 year of hire.
• Familiarity with filing and clerical work.

Responsibilities

• Process all filing, accounting, and bookkeeping functions as necessary.
• Receive new prescriptions from customers for filling.
• Enter information into the computer to generate prescription labels.
• Retrieve medication from stock and place in containers with labels.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and reconstituting medications.
• Answer/direct telephone calls to pharmacists and process insurance claims.
• Reorder items for prescription and OTC departments; manage stock levels.
