Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a pharmacy technician to support operations under a licensed pharmacist in Grand Rapids. You will assist with prescription processing, patient service, and inventory management.

Responsibilities include reviewing refill requests, preparing medications, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate data entry. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient care, and teamwork in a fast-paced home infusion setting.

Qualifications

• 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
• Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH training course within 6 months.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic to intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process per policies.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Maintain equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and report defects.
• Collect and maintain basic patient information for planning materials and prescriptions.
• Answer basic patient questions to support a positive patient experience.
• Receive, verify, and stock incoming supplies; manage inventory data entry.
• Schedule routine patient deliveries.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows.
