Job summary

Trinity Health’s Grand Rapids pharmacy team seeks a licensed Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory and patient records. You will provide courteous, cooperative, and timely service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Under a Registered Pharmacist, you will comply with state licensing requirements, support immunization programs, and use computer systems for prescription processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school education or equivalent.
• Preferred: Completion of formal pharmacy technician training program.
• Minimum: Fully licensed as a pharmacy technician in Michigan.
• Preferred: National Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Minimum: One year of pharmacy work experience.
• Minimum: Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum: Good math skills using fractions, decimals and volumes.
• Familiarity with standard desktop and windows based computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist, assists Pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
• Provides courteous, cooperative, and timely service to patients, visitors and staff.
