Job summary

Ascension St Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital seeks a Pharmacist in the Oncology Pharmacy to join our compassionate team. This full-time, days-shift role focuses on reviewing medication orders, dispensing chemotherapy and supportive meds, and collaborating with physicians to optimize cancer care.

Qualifications include Indiana Pharmacy licensure and a Bachelor’s or PharmD degree; PGY1/PGY2 oncology residency or prior hospital oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license with Indiana Board of Pharmacy before hire date.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
• No work experience required.
• PGY1 or PGY2 residency completion and/or prior hospital oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems.
• Recommends formulary alternatives when appropriate.
• Compounds and dispenses medications for accurate delivery to patients and provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
• Communicates with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
• Oversees technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies.
• Assists with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students and may float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs; provides patient counseling when required.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need
