Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join the Texas Health Center for Diagnostics/Surgery in Plano, TX. This PRN position involves rotating shifts from 6:00am–2:30pm and 11:00am–7:30pm in a surgical hospital setting with a small team of five.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D., CLIAFE compliance for foreign education equivalency, and PHAR by hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required or Pharm.D. required.
• CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
• 3 years hospital experience or residency preferred.
• PHAR - Pharmacist upon Hire required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively, build positive professional relationships and model teamwork.
• Support medication distribution with accurate order verification.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services for safe and efficient patient care.
• Maintain competency documentation and support quality improvement and patient safety programs.
• Contribute to cost containment and process efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work hours: PRN – Rotating between the following shifts:

• 6:00am – 2:30pm
• 11:00am – 7:30pm

Here’s What You Need

• Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required Or

What You Will Do

• Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
• Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification
• Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
• Ensuring the accuracy of one’s own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department’s quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
• Ongoing professional development and growth.
• Not only the management of one’s own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
