Job summary

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is seeking a casual PRN Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care across outpatient to inpatient settings. You will ensure safe, evidence-based pharmacotherapy and support pharmacy technicians and interns.

Required is a Pharm.D. or Bachelor of Pharmacy with MI licensure; residency training is preferred, and BLS certification is required. This position is part-time with variable shifts in Dearborn, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's (Pharm.D. or B.Pharm) required.
• Residency training or equivalent experience preferred.
• MI pharmacist licenses (Clinical and Controlled Substances) required within 90 days.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmaceutical care according to standards and statutory requirements.
• Delivers safe, effective pharmacotherapeutic recommendations via medication management programs.
• Supervises Pharmacy Technicians and Interns.
• Participates in department medication management activities aligned with Corewell Health goals.
• Demonstrates judgment and commitment to ongoing professional growth.
• Supports management with oversight and planning of new programs.

About the Unit The pharmacy department at Dearborn is responsible for providing medication reliably and safely for our patients. We are a resource for medication information for providers, staff and patients. Pharmacy spans across the continuum of care, from outpatient to inpatient, ambulatory and specialty to critical care.

Scope of Work

Provides Pharmaceutical Care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements. Provides safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the department's medication management programs. Assists in supervising the functional activities of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns. Participates in department directed medication management activities consistent with Corewell Health goals and objectives. Demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness during daily activities, maintaining a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice, and demonstrate a personal commitment to professional growth. Support management by providing oversight, guidance and support for all assigned areas and will participate in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and activities.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree Pharm.D. or Bachelor degree in pharmacy
• Preferred Residency training 1 year of relevant experience pharmacy experience
• Preferred LIC-Clinical Pharmacist - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
