Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee the medication distribution system and ensure each medication is indicated, effective, safe and convenient for patients. You will identify, prevent, and resolve drug therapy problems within the hospital setting.

The role requires a PharmD or PA license, pharmacokinetic dosing knowledge, and experience in promoting formulary compliance. You will train staff and may precept students as part of program development.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Pharmacy or equivalent licensure.
• Strong pharmacokinetic knowledge for dosing.
• Monitor patient responses to meds and adjust care.
• Document adverse events and near misses in reporting system.
• Ensure formulary compliance and policy adherence.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age and background.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with staff and patients to uphold Jefferson values.
• Oversee medication distribution within the assigned area.
• Support quality improvement initiatives for pharmacy services.
• Train staff, residents, interns, and technicians as assigned.
• Precept students as part of the Preceptor Development program.
