Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee the medication distribution system within their area. The role ensures drug therapy is indicated, effective, safe, and convenient for patients, identifying and resolving therapy problems.

You will interact with staff, assure appropriateness of therapy, oversee medication distribution at TJUH, support quality processes, and train staff including residents and interns.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Pharmacy or equivalent licensure required.
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetic principles for dosing.
• Monitor patients for response to medications.
• Identify and document sentinel events and adverse drug reactions in electronic systems.
• Promote compliance with hospital formulary and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with staff and visitors consistent with Jefferson values.
• Assures appropriateness of drug therapy and compliance with hospital policies.
• Oversees distribution of medications throughout TJUH.
• Supports implementation of processes to ensure Pharmacy services quality.
• Trains staff, including residents, interns, technicians, and new pharmacists.
• Precepts student pharmacists as assigned. See policy.
