Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee the medication distribution system for their area of responsibility and ensure each medication is indicated, effective, safe, and convenient for the patient.

You will identify and prevent drug therapy problems, monitor responses to medications, and train staff including residents, interns, and technicians while supporting policy compliance and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetic principles for medication dosing.
• Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania (PA).
• Experience with hospital formulary and policy compliance.
• Familiarity with electronic reporting systems for medication safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication distribution in the assigned area.
• Identify and resolve drug therapy problems to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient response to medications and adjust therapy as needed.
• Train staff and precept students or residents.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality initiatives.
