Job summary

Jefferson is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee the medication distribution system within their area of responsibility. The role focuses on ensuring each medication is indicated, effective, safe, and convenient for the patient while complying with hospital policies.

Responsibilities include supervising distribution, training staff, precepting students, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives across the department.

Qualifications

• PharmD or active license required; knowledge of pharmacokinetic dosing principles.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy as needed.
• Document sentinel events, near misses, and adverse drug reactions per policy.

Responsibilities

• Oversees medication distribution within assigned area.
• Ensures drug therapy is appropriate, effective, safe and aligned with formulary policies.
• Trains staff and precepts students as assigned; supports quality pharmacy services.
