Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care across neonatal to geriatric patients, evaluate and verify medication orders, support drug distribution, and perform sterile and extemporaneous compounding.

You will mentor technicians, students and residents, participate in formulary management, respond to drug information requests, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and the broader health team to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy (required)
• Licensed or license eligible as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (required)
• Current board certification by Board of Pharmacy Specialties® (preferred)
• Current certification in Basic Life Support or must obtain within 90 days from date of hire (required)
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as determined by pharmacy leadership (required)

Responsibilities

• Delivers comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients across the lifespan
• Performs medication order evaluation and verification
• Supports drug distribution and sterile/extemporaneous compounding
• Supervises technicians and provides operational guidance as needed
• Participates in formulary management and cost-effective therapy decisions
• Responds to drug information requests to optimize pharmacotherapy
