Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Pharmacist to join a large, integrated health system. You will oversee pharmaceutical care, review orders, counsel patients, ensure formulary adherence, and participate in medication safety and quality improvement initiatives.

The position requires a Doctorate or B.Pharm from an ACPE-accredited school, NC licensure eligibility, and strong communication skills. This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly, with a rotating shifts schedule and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school; NABP FPGEC acceptable.
• Licensed in practice state or eligible for reciprocity.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmaceutical care and evaluate literature to design medication therapy regimens.
• Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, adverse effects, and adherence.
• Review and interpret medication orders accurately and ensure safety.
• Participate in medication safety programs and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to manage formulary adherence and medication-use process.
