PharMerica, a BrightSpring Health Services affiliate, is hiring a full-time Pharmacist in Taunton, MA to support long-term care and senior living clients. This non-retail role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, rotating shifts, and comprehensive benefits.

You will evaluate orders, provide clinical recommendations, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with care teams to optimize medication therapy.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D preferred.
• One year experience in long-term care desired.
• Current and valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Knowledge of CMS, DEA, FDA guidelines and drug therapy safety.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and pharmacy information systems.
• Strong clinical judgment and effective communication.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate physician medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and route.
• Provide clinical recommendations to physicians and staff on therapy changes.
• Maintain up-to-date patient/resident profiles with meds, labs, and history.
• Ensure monitoring tests for high-risk meds are ordered and reviewed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other professionals for support.
• Document communications and interventions in the medical record.
• Enforce safe handling, dispensing, and management of medications.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Report medication errors and adverse events to Pharmacy Manager.
• Educate clinical team on safe medication handling procedures.

Ausbildung

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
