Get to Know Your Team:

• UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 432 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians, and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, IV admixture programs, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS & ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ACLS required for attending Code Blue).
• Completion of the TSBP educational requirements in the field of compounding sterile preparations OR must be capable of completing requirements within 90 days of hire date.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• One year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
