Neuromodulation

Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Opportunity

Our team is actively recruiting for a Clinical Specialist I. As a member of the clinical support team, you will be responsible for providing technical clinical expertise and support of the sales process to colleagues, current customers, and potential customers. You will work under general direction with clinical and sales teammates to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities by creating competency, comfort, and expertise with all Abbott Chronic Pain Therapies among physicians, support staff, and customers within your assigned geography. The work involves a high degree of independence, exercises independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing work, and seeks to continually improve territory efficiency.

What You’ll Work On
  • Provide technical, clinical, and programming assistance, primarily in support of 1-2 Territory Managers.
  • Assist Territory Managers in after-hours call support and activities.
  • Build trust and relationships with accounts and establish strong rapport with customers.
  • Proficient in complex programming and case support.
  • Work seamlessly with Territory Managers to increase selling time.
  • Foster high-trust relationships with customers and regional team members.
  • Conduct PCP work and educational services as directed.
  • Engage clients and potential clients in product discussions, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Provide medical professionals with sales support, information, training, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of accounts, including competitor activity.
  • Conduct evaluations and develop sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and product information.
  • Provide feedback on device use directions in clinical settings.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to stay updated on new products and technologies.
  • Identify customer training and in-service needs to increase product usage and understanding.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, company policies, and operating procedures.
  • Provide sales support, training, and guidance to customers.
  • Maintain positive communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to travel 25% within and outside the assigned region.
Required Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or technical certification; preferred Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1-2 years’ work experience, preferably collaborating with patients in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to understand and educate clinical data in the Chronic Pain Therapies space.
  • Strong clinical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication skills at multiple organizational levels and large groups.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Flexibility to work unpredictable schedules and manage tight deadlines.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Engage customers effectively in sales conversations as directed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience interacting with patients in healthcare environments (e.g., physical therapy, medical sales, RN, LPN).
  • Experience in a broader enterprise or cross-division business model.
  • 1-3 years’ experience with Abbott or similar implantable medical devices.

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
