Neuromodulation

Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Opportunity

Our team is actively recruiting for a Clinical Specialist I. As a member of the clinical support team, you will be responsible for providing technical clinical expertise and support of the sales process to colleagues, current customers and/or potential customers. You will work under general direction with clinical and sales teammates to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities by creating competency, comfort, and expertise with all Abbott Chronic Pain Therapies among physicians, support staff and customers within your assigned geography. Your work involves a high degree of independence, exercising judgment in planning, organizing, and performing tasks. You will continually seek to improve territory efficiency.

What You’ll Work On
  • Provide technical, clinical, and programming assistance, primarily supporting 1-2 Territory Managers.
  • Assist Territory Managers in after-hours call support and activities.
  • Build trust and strong rapport with accounts and customers.
  • Proficiently support complex programming and cases.
  • Work seamlessly with Territory Managers to increase selling time.
  • Foster high-trust relationships with customers and team members.
  • Conduct PCP work and educational services as directed.
  • Engage with clients and potential clients about products, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Provide medical professionals with sales support, training, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of accounts, including competitor activity.
  • Develop sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities.
  • Monitor product information, competitor activity, and market trends.
  • Provide feedback on device use and directions for use.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to showcase products and discuss developments.
  • Identify customer training needs to increase product usage and understanding.
  • Comply with FDA and other regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures.
  • Support sales, training, and guidance to customers.
  • Maintain positive communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Travel up to 25% within and outside the region.
Required Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or technical certification; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience, preferably with clinical patient interaction.
  • Ability to communicate, understand, and educate on clinical data related to Chronic Pain Therapies.
  • Strong clinical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills at multiple organizational levels and large groups.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Adaptability to unpredictable schedules and short-notice changes.
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and tasks.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and diverse environment.
  • Teamwork and individual contributor skills in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to engage customers in sales conversations as directed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with healthcare-related patient interaction (Physical Therapy, medical sales, RN, LPN).
  • Experience in a cross-division or enterprise environment.
  • 1-3 years’ experience with Abbott or similar implantable medical devices, especially in spinal cord stimulation (SCS).

The base pay for this position is: $60,000.00 – $120,000.00

In specific locations, pay may vary from the posted range.
