Job summary

NITELINES USA, INC seeks a Clinical Pharmacist - Emergency Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, TX. This role delivers direct patient care and medication management, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize therapy and patient safety.

Requirements include Pharm.D. with ASHP PGY1/PGY2 or equivalent, BPS board certification, ACLS, active license, and recent hospital experience. Work Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm; salary is $120,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree or equivalent with ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency and BPS certification.
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency or PGY1 plus three years clinical practice with BPS certification.
• ACLS certification for acute care pharmacists.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a clinical pharmacist.
• Recent hospital clinical experience within the past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, including treatment assessment and medication management activities.
• Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize drug therapy.
• Clinically evaluates patients in the specified area with documentation of pharmacy recommendations and plans.
• Reviews drug regimens for indication, dosing, allergies, interactions, monitoring and documentation.
• Provides cost-effective drug utilization and monitors outcomes of patient care relating to drug therapy.
• Educates BAMC staff and residents on pharmaceuticals as requested.
• Responds to Level I Trauma, code blue and massive transfusion emergencies.
• Performs antibiotic stewardship, pharmacokinetic dosing, renal/hepatic dosing, and patient education.
• Supports discharge planning and transition to other care sites.
