Job summary

Omnicare is seeking a Consultant Pharmacist in Georgia to support facilities during an industry transition to an independent organization. This full-time post requires Macon-area residence and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

You will conduct medication reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, educate facility teams, and work with account management to promote program adoption and growth.

Qualifications

• Clinical pharmacy experience in long-term care settings.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing nursing facilities.
• Experience with immunization programs and geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities comply with federal regulations.
• Complete clinical reviews as required by law.
• Own issue resolution and flag early warning signs.
• Drive adoption of Omnicare programs and services.
• Leverage relationships to promote growth and new business.
• Lead Executive Reviews and customer meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet site goals.
• Perform Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR) and document reports.
• Allocate time per resident review based on clinical needs.
• Generate MRR using OSC2OR on-site and document recommendations.
• Utilize MDS 3.0 to identify residents needing targeted focus.
• Complete monthly Quality Improvement reports for consultant services.
• Educate facility staff on new programs and required actions.
