Job summary

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Royal Oak is seeking a part-time Clinical Pharmacist for 24 hours per week on a rotating shift. The role supports medication management and patient care in a high-volume academic hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s or Pharm.D. in Pharmacy, have Michigan licensure or eligibility, and bring residency training or strong clinical experience. Weekend rotation is necessary.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience as a clinical pharmacist or residency/fellowship preferred.
• Clinical Pharmacist license in Michigan or eligible to obtain upon hire.
• Pharmacist Controlled Substance license in Michigan or eligible to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide Pharmaceutical Care according to professional standards and statutory requirements.
• Offer safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations via medication management programs.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and Interns as assigned.
• Support department goals and participate in planning, organization, and monitoring of new programs.
• Demonstrate good judgment and current pharmaceutical practice knowledge; commit to professional growth.

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 doctors on faculty.

Scope of Work

Provides Pharmaceutical Care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements. Provides safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the department's medication management programs. The Clinical Pharmacist assists in supervising the functional activities of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns. Participates in department directed medication management activities consistent with Beaumont Health goals and objectives. The Clinical Pharmacist will demonstrate good judgment and decisiveness during daily activities, maintaining a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice, and demonstrate a personal commitment to professional growth. The Clinical Pharmacist will support management by providing oversight, guidance and support for all assigned areas and will participate in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and activities.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree or Pharm.D. degree in pharmacy.
• Preferred residency training.
• 3 years of relevant experience 3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist or pharmacy residency/fellowship preferred. In absence of residency training, candidates with demonstrated superior knowledge (board certification, considerable practical clinical experience, etc.) in area of focus may be considered preferred.
• Clinical Pharmacist license- State of Michigan or eligible to obtain Upon Hire required
• Pharmacist Controlled Substance license - State of Michigan or eligible to obtain Upon Hire required
