Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Troy, MI seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to lead pharmaceutical care for PAH and critical care topics, with 90% on-site clinical rounding and 10% remote initiatives. You will precept students and residents and develop PAH educational content.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, drive research, and lead cost-savings projects while advancing safe and cost-effective medication therapy. Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required; Pharm.D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D. or Bachelor in Pharmacy) required.
• Residency training preferred.
• 3 years of relevant experience as a clinical pharmacist or residency/fellowship preferred.
• MI licensure as Clinical Pharmacist within 90 days and MI licensure for Pharmacist Controlled Substance within 90 days.

This position will staff clinically in areas that support the adult critical care teams at Corewell Health – Troy Hospital. Clinical rounding and direct patient care will be 90% on site with 10% time for other corporate level initiatives, which may be remote.

About The Unit

This position will staff clinically in areas that support the adult critical care teams at Corewell Health – Troy Hospital. Clinical rounding and direct patient care will be 90% on site with 10% time for other corporate level initiatives, which may be remote.

In addition to staffing clinically in the areas that support the adult critical care teams at Corewell Health – Troy Hospital, this position will participate as a clinical content expert with the pharmaceutical care for pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH) for Corewell Health. Other responsibilities will include being a primary preceptor for pharmacy students and residents, creating Corewell Health educational content around PAH and other critical care topics, participate in research, and lead pharmacy improvement and cost‑savings projects. This position requires strong collaboration and experience working with a variety of multidisciplinary teams, as they will be the pharmacy clinical content expert in these areas to help achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Scope of Work

Provides leadership for all Pharmacy clinical activities within assigned area. Embraces the goals/objectives encompassing Pharmaceutical activities. Promotes team efforts with pharmacy and non-pharmacy personnel to manage and achieve departmental/corporate objectives. Provides support for staff development so that staff meets/exceeds minimum competency standards and encourages/supports staff to continue professional development. Demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness throughout daily activities. Maintains knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice and demonstrates a personal commitment to professional growth. Serves as role model of clinical excellence to staff pharmacists. Supports management by providing oversight, guidance and support for all assigned areas. Participates in the planning, organization, implementation and follow up of new programs and activities. A key role of the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is to promote safe, appropriate, and cost effective medication therapy.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree Pharm.D. or Bachelor degree in pharmacy.
• Preferred residency training.
• 3 years of relevant experience 3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist or pharmacy residency/fellowship preferred. In absence of residency training, candidates with demonstrated superior knowledge (board certification, considerable practical clinical experience, etc.) in area of focus may be considered. Preferred
