Job summary

Ardent Health Services seeks a variable-shift, PRN Pharmacy Clinical Pharmacist in Montclair, NJ to provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care, including dispensing and IV admixture. You will work under the Director of Pharmacy and oversee staff.

The role requires a B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy and an active NJ Pharmacist license, plus BLS within 14 days and ALS/ACLS for Code Blue.

Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements – i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• ALS/ACLS certification required for Code Blue attendance.

Responsibilities

• The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care with safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical services and drug information.
• Oversees the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff under supervision.
• Provides dispensing and IV admixture services as part of comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements – i.e., sterile compounding, etc.

• ALS/ACLS certification (ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
