Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking a variable-shift, PRN Pharmacy Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The role emphasizes clinical pharmacy care, IV admixture, and overseeing technicians.

Requires ACPE-accredited degree, active NJ Pharmacist license, BLS, and ALS/ACLS; inpatient hospital experience preferred. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a state-of-the-art facility with a collaborative team and flexible

Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Sterile compounding and other state requirements.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ALS/ACLS certification required for Code Blue.

Responsibilities

• The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information.
• Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

• Other applicable state requirements - i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
  

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education , and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
