Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements – e.g., sterile compounding.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ALS/ACLS certification (ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).
• Doctor of Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited college (preferred).
• 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information.
• Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.
