Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Clinical Pharmacist. The role focuses on optimizing patient care through safe and cost-effective pharmaceutical services, including dispensing and the IV admixture program.

Under direction of the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will oversee technicians, students, and support staff. Required B.S./Pharm D. and active Oklahoma pharmacist license; BLS/ACLS certifications are mandatory.

Qualifications

• The clinical pharmacist provides safe, appropriate and cost-effective pharmaceutical care including dispensing and IV admixture.
• Oversees pharmacy technicians, students and support staff under the Director of Pharmacy/Pharmacy Operations Manager.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree.
• ACPE-accredited degrees are preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide drug information and ensure safe medication use.
• Dispense medications and support IV admixture program.
• Lead and supervise pharmacy technicians and students.

Responsibilities:

The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost effective pharmaceutical care including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification (ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
