You will explain each step, liaise between patients and Optometrists, and participate in the initial patient journey. Responsibilities include assisting with exams, documenting results in EMR, remote exam support, insurance preauthorization, schedule management, and patient education.

Qualifikationen

• One year of related experience in optical/healthcare settings.
• HS diploma or GED or equivalent required; professional image expected.
• Training provided and willingness to travel to other locations.

Aufgaben

• Register patients and submit medical history and ocular data to EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with exams and explain preliminary tests to patients.
• Support remote eye exams, initiate video conferencing and document results.
• Transition patients to retail staff with doctor recommendations.
• Preauthorize insurance and schedule exams while managing no-shows.
• Maintain patient records and assist with contact lens orders and trials.
