Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to prepare patients for onsite and remote examinations, conduct pre-exam tests, and explain each step of the process. You will liaise between patients and optometrists and support the early steps of the patient journey.

The role supports both in-store and remote eye-care services, with a part-time schedule and pay range of $17–$25.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in optical or healthcare.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Medical office professionalism.
• Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect medical history into EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor and explain prep tests.
• Support remote eye exams via video conferencing and testing.
• Transition patient to retail associate after exams.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tests and results.
• Maintain clean clinical environment and supplies.
