Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to ensure a positive patient experience. You will prepare patients for onsite or remote exams, conduct pre-exam tests, and explain each step of the process, acting as a liaison between patients and optometrists.

You will assist with both in-person and remote eye exams, document results, and help manage appointments and patient flow while maintaining accurate records and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience preferred.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for onsite or remote examinations and perform pre-exam tests.
• Explain each step of the process and document results in EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with eye examinations and patient care.
• Support remote eye exams, including pre-testing and testing documentation.
• Coordinate with retail associates and schedule appointments per company guidelines.
• Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
