Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD seeks a seasoned RN leader to coordinate patient placement, admission and transfer processes during evenings, nights and weekends. You will meet with physicians and staff to market services and ensure smooth bed flow and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience required.
• One (1) year of leadership experience (Charge RN, CUC or management) preferred.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises hospital activities in the absence of administrative personnel.
• Staffing: Gather information on unit staffing needs and prioritize accordingly.
• Coordinate bed management and patient placement/triage to appropriate units.
• Direct admissions and coordinate with Oncology for information collection.
• Oversee patient flow, red alerts, and capacity planning during off-hours.
