Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision. An Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with two years RN experience in the specialty area or LPN with director approval.

The role requires strong nursing process skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Current MD RN licensure and BLS certification are required; additional certifications (ALS, PALS, NRP) may be required

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school required.
• Two years RN experience in the specified specialty or LPN with director approval.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• BLS certification from an affiliated American Heart Association training site.
• Additional certifications (ALS, PALS, NRP) may be required on hire for specialty areas.
• Proficiency in nursing process, documentation, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and reassess patient care.
• Initiates and updates a written nursing plan of care.
• Performs clinical nursing skills, administers medications and IV therapy.
• Coordinates care with patient, family, and health team members.
• Communicates patient status to physicians, nurses, and others; documents in medical record.
• Provides teaching/learning to patient and family; manages daily assignments.
